Lauren Conrad made her last appearance on The Hills tonight. Although I never really understood the whole attention surrounding the show, I ended up being glued to it from season to season.
Tonight’s season finale was another episode of unnecessary family feuds between the Montags and Pratts. However, Spencer, (by which I mean the new dramatically changed Spencer) tried to patch things up with his new family. Whether his intentions were genuine or not, Miss Holly Montag was not in the mood for being buttered up by Pratt. At the rehearsal dinner she made an interesting (to say the least) Maid of Honor speech. Like a blast of cold air, everybody at the table could feel the sarcasm oozing out of her as she congratulated Spencer and Heidi. I especially enjoyed when she threw a piece of food across the table and ruined Heidi’s very expensive clutch. Woopsy!! While Spencer and Stephanie Pratt exchanged horrified looks, Heidi tried to look busy, but you could obviously see she was embarrassed by her sister’s behaviour.
Anyways, the wedding ceremony was beautiful of course. We can’t expect any less, especially when it’s the season finale! Heidi looked drop dead gorgeous in her wedding dress, but she definitely wore too much jewellery, and I wish someone would have told her. She must have been channelling Madonna from an earlier era or something. Her bridesmaids looked stunning in their yellow dresses aswell. Waiting until the last minute, Lauren Conrad fluttered her way into the dressing room, congratulating Heidi, before taking a seat next to long time buddy Lo.
However, Lauren's feathers were once again ruffled when long time Laguna Beach rivalry, Kristin Cavallari appeared at the ceremony. Cavallari, no stranger to drama, made everyone turn in their pews , before Heidi walked down the aisle. Sitting snuggly by her side, Justin Bobby kept shooting sideway glances at his long time love Audrina. Who, sadly enough kept returning equally pathetic looks. I dont know why she would even take a second look, especially since Justin Bobby's scruffy appearance made him look akin to that estranged fellow Joaquin Phoenix.
The saddest part of the show was when L.C. departed through the side door rather than saying goodbye to Heidi, I mean the new Mrs. Pratt.
Of course, not too leave us hanging, MTV aired a preview for the fall season of the Hills. Once again, it looks like The Hills will be rolling into another round of drama and bitch fighting between a couple of overpaid and under dressed Hollywood broads.
